At Chirundu Border Consortium, we protect the environment by design — building a modern border facility that minimises its footprint, uses resources responsibly, and safeguards the natural surroundings for future generations.
As a responsible corporate citizen, we actively look to go beyond generating financial returns for our shareholders and third-party investors and strive to create a positive impact for society as a whole where we operate.
Sustainable development is our driving force to deliver our growth objectives and the Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) criteria are central to all decision-making shaping how we approach our hard and soft infrastructure developments along the Corridor.
In support of our Sustainability Commitment and ongoing ESG obligations, the Project has undertaken a range of environmental and social assessments in accordance with applicable local regulatory requirements and international lender ESG standards.
The documents available below include Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs), Environmental Management Agency (EMA) approvals, biodiversity and social studies, environmental management plans, and additional supporting ESG reports prepared as part of the Project’s ongoing due diligence, mitigation and stakeholder engagement processes.
